Jonathan Ballard is a partner at Fox Ballard PLLC. He defends hospitals, physicians, and countless other providers against medical negligence claims. In addition to his professional malpractice work, Jonathan represents providers before state licensing boards and against civil rights claims involving medical treatment provided to prisoners. Prior to joining the Washington State Bar in 2015, Jonathan represented medical professionals and healthcare organizations in Nevada for over a decade. Not only has he excelled with his healthcare practice, Jonathan has been fortunate to represent regional and national clients in general liability, contract, premise liability, employment, construction and complex tort claims, including many cases involving catastrophic injuries and damages exceeding several million dollars. Clients know Jonathan for effective communication, understanding goals, avoiding pitfalls and achieving great outcomes. He has trial experience in Nevada and Washington and has argued before the Supreme Court of Nevada. Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in History. Jonathan earned his Juris Doctor from New England Law in 2004. During law school, Jonathan completed an internship with a nonprofit immigration center in Boston, and a judicial externship with the Honorable Nancy Oesterle of the Las Vegas Township Justice Court. He also participated in an international law program at the University of Malta. Among his many professional affiliations, Jonathan is a member of the American Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association, Washington Defense Trial Lawyers, Washington Healthcare Risk Management Society and the Health Law Section of the Washington State Bar. He is licensed in Washington, Nevada and Massachusetts. Jonathan is also admitted to practice in U.S. District Court in Western Washington, Eastern Washington and Nevada.
