Main Responsibilities:- First point of contact for generalist HR advice on recruitment, HR and payroll to circa 180 staff across the UK and ROI;- Managing employee relations and formal cases;- Monthly payroll and pension administration;- Supervisor of recruitment administration; - Training of managers in areas such as sickness absence and recruitment;- Completion of a number of large HR projectsKey achievements:- Reduced turnover from 60% to <20%;- Launched a number of new benefits/initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention, including a salary sacrifice pension scheme, annual leave purchase scheme, health and death in service insurance, online benefits portal;- Launch of a monthly induction to give new joiners a holistic insight into the organisation's culture;- Creation of a number of new core HR policies;- Migration and launch of a new employee HR system;- Relationship building with employees and managers.

I am responsible for looking after the recruitment processes from the initial advertisement of a vacancy to the offer stage for assistant, academic-related and research posts for a number of Departments within the Clinical School of Medicine. I produce statistical reports, maintain our HR webpage and deal with elements of payroll. I have completed, and am working on a number of projects aimed at improving our team and the service we provide, including performance monitoring and moving a number of our processes online.
