I am a proactive, adaptable and conscientious Health & Safety practitioner, working for the Diamond Light Source on the Harwell Campus, South Oxfordshire as part of the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Team.I will always question poor practice and unsafe systems of work wherever they occur. I am comfortable challenging poor management practices and am keen to promote good health & safety leadership. I strive to always be a diplomatic and articulate communicator, and an effective team player. I consistently work to the highest personal and professional standards. I have good leadership skills including managing, developing and motivating young people to achieve high personal goals. I am committed to continuing personal development and will continue to improve and enhance theory and practice as required and appropriate.I previously worked for the University of Oxford as a Divisional Safety Officer, Medical Sciences Division, supporting the pre- and non-Clinical Departments. Prior to that, I was at Evotec (UK) Ltd, a drug discovery alliance and development partnership company, first as a Research Scientist in the field of medicinal chemistry and then in the role of Health & Safety Advisor.I also volunteer with the Royal Air Force Air Cadets (RAFAC), an organisation for air-minded youth. My primary role is helping deliver the largest Air Cadet camp (+1000 cadets and staff) at RAF Fairford to support the annual Royal International Air Tattoo. I am also a Squadron Officer at 1563 (Buckingham) Sqn where I support primarily by delivering Aerospace training during the weekday evening parade nights.
