Signing off procedures to ensure 100% traceability, taking extra care to guarantee correct torque settings and using the correct itemised components when building to deliver high standard Express Engineering tooling to the Oil and Gas industry. High and low pressure Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) using test mediums such as water and nitrogen also according to customer's requirements. The purpose of this being to prove correct functioning and integrity of all the parts and components assembled by the workshop technicians, this stage of the job often witnessed by customer employed external inspectors.Using my knowledge and experience to provide assistance and training to the less experienced in a lead tech manner. My responsibilities are to maintain and ensure constant improvement of all press/mould tools across the shop floor.● Carry out repairs and routine maintenance of press and mould tools● Identify any abnormal trends and monitor conditions of the tools, escalate where necessary.● Daily equipment inspections, making sure equipment being used is fit for purpose. House keepingto a very high standard to keep the work area safe and tidy.● Assembling and dis-assembling press tools checking for damage in areas that make contact or areunder load. Replace damaged parts or find a way to repair.● TIG and stick welding used as one of the main methods to repair damage to press tools, usinghand grinding and manual machining techniques to form tools back to their original state and/orproduce new parts.● Offer your support wherever it may be needed.

The manufacture of sundry parts required where/as needed in the day to day running of the mould shop.• TPM schedules across all production tooling utilizing MP2 CMMS systems.• Daily updates on project tooling work such as in-house modifications/repairs, customer requested modifications/ development and external work also new tooling updates.• Devise and provide detailed timing plans, implement and maintain at a glance visual management system highlighting current tool status (red tag/green tag)• Assess tool breakdowns and implement/advise preventative measures.• Involvement in 8D, CAR, AUDIT & KAIZEN activities. Attending team briefing meetings also process review and improvement activites.• Working on my own, using initiative and problem solving skills throughout my 3 shift pattern.

Completed a 4 year apprenticeship in mechanical engineering (fitting and assembly) covering all aspects of engineering processes both in theory and practice.Later went on to pass my apprenticeship and was granted a position as a full time HNC qualified Mechanical fitter within the company.During my employment here my responsibilities were to prep and build machines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and tooling involved to create machines for special purpose capital equipment used within the global automotive and air conditioning industry.• Various machining processes used such as CNC milling, turning and manual grinding.• Assembling tooling from engineeringdrawings using measuring equipment to ensure alignment, heights and sizes are correct Modifying parts and components when/if needed to make sure customers requirements were met.• Commissioning and decommissioning stages were carried out when machines were built and when machines where coming back to be reworked or modified.• Frequent planned and preventative maintenance of the shop and all machinery ensuring highest possible efficiency and no breaks in production.
