Transition Coordinator
Current- Create and maintain Parent Resources and the Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG) websites located under the Special Services web page.- Administer Brigance, NJCAN, and TEACCH Transition assessments.- Work with individual students to develop the 21st-century skills needed to succeed in post-secondary opportunities.- Collaborate with surrounding districts to enhance our transition program in Assessments, Job Coach training, Parent training, Vocational Profiles, Person-Centered Approaches in Schools and Transition, etc...- Implement Person-Centered Approaches in Schools and Transition to identify strategies to positively impact post-school outcomes.- Collaborate with local businesses to promote and expand the Structured Learning Experience (SLE).- Established and maintain an In-House SLE program for students to become familiar with the world of work utilizing a variety of departments throughout the building.- Create and oversee individual Student Training Plans for students participating in the Structured Learning Experience Program. - Supervise Job Coaches to ensure proper implementation of individual student’s training plans in the community. - Host Parent training sessions and Special Education Parent Advisory Group meetings.
