Quarry Manager
Current• Management of 42 employees and liaison with supervisors in meeting production targets and maximising safe production• Successfully manage and control operations budgets • Oversee all aspects of operations from Civils, Mechanical, Electrical and Facilities• Develop a good working relationships with all the residents of the quarries• Effectively lead and coordinate operations and production teams• Solve critical issues in a time-sensitive environment while providing civil and mechanical expertise• Set project costs and productivity benchmarks and health & safety and environmental standards• Effectively lead and coordinate project teams• Solve critical issues in a time-sensitive environment while providing civil and mechanical expertise• Provide project quality assurance, risk management and change management expertise• Champion a robust and progressive quality culture • Set and maintain standards and behaviours for continuous improvement by promoting employee and sub-contractor buy-in and accountability. Active engagement in improving product and process quality as well as minimizing risk, nonconformities and associated costs.• Carrying out frequent site visits to inspect on site practices and workmanship. Initiating improvements where required.• Monitor quality and conformity of all products produced• Conduct work activities in such a way as to ensure the safety, health and welfare of all employees and sub-contractors.• Dealing with the local authorities, HSA, EPA and fisheries• Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.• First Point of escalation for issues arising from the production area• Prioritizes production schedules based on product stocks and demand work closely with the sales team• Responsible for the quality of all products produced and that leave’s the site are up to the standards set by the NSAI
