I began as a teacher in 2012, having completed my PGCE (M) in History at the University of East Anglia. During my training year, I taught in two different academies - Acle High and Sprowston Community Academy. Following qualification, I began to teach English at the Sir John Gleed School (now Spalding Academy) in Spalding, completing my NQT year as an English teacher before transitioning into teaching History and RE alongside English. In 2016 I moved to Banbury, where I began as a teacher of Humanities at Wykham Park Academy. I spent the first three years working in both the Humanities and English department, where I then was promoted to Head of History, before transitioning into the role of Head of Faculty in Humanities. I taught the GCSE specifications of History for Edexcel and then AQA, and the Edexcel A-Level spec. I have also gained experience teaching AQA GCSE Geography, and this year I took on the role as Head of Sixth Form, which has now also allowed me to learn A-Level Business Studies and Sociology, as well as being the campus lead for the Aspirations Employability Diploma.
