At Robin, I work as an AI-empowered medical scribe for multiple physicians across several specialties. Thanks to this exposure, I have drastically increased my practical working knowledge of the medical field. By witnessing how different doctors perform their duties, I have been able to adapt my scribing skills to the unique preferences and needs of different specialists utilizing vastly different EMRs. This has expanded my understanding of practical physical exams and medical terminology while giving me insight into the realities of life as a doctor across several specialties. Thomas, MD, preparing injections and aspirations, as well as obtaining patient vitals. I also create and process patient scripts, workers compensation forms, federal compensation forms, and study orders. At DOC, I extensively utilize the Dr. Chrono Electronic Health Record software, which has greatly increased my proficiency with online medical recordkeeping.

At Northwest Hills Surgical Hospital, I observe the weekly operations performed by Darryl B. Thomas, MD. I am instructed on each procedure by Dr. Thomas in real time. My observation has included total knee arthroscopies performed by the MAKO surgical robot.

At Dell Medical School, I am currently conducting clinical research alongside global exchange medical school students and Ph.D. candidates under David Ring, MD, Ph.D. My primary responsibilities are patient observation and enrollment into appropriate studies. At this time, I am involved in projects on orthopedic research article citation quality, Science of Variation Group study creation, and the impact of temporarily disabling injuries on exercise habits targeting uninjured limbs.

At Horizon Internal Medicine, I shadowed N'Tuma Jah, DPM, Erica Cox, PA, and Ankita Desai, PA. I also worked under Rizwan Hague, their lab head, to perform HbA1C blood tests and gain experience with the eClinicalWorks software.

Columbus, Ohio Area

At Grady Memorial Hospital, I provided palliative care and assisted in triaging patients in critical condition. I observed doctor-patient interactions and surgical procedures, providing assistance with suturing. My responsibilities included placing leads on patients, taking heart and blood pressure readings, performing urinalysis and pregnancy tests, and recording health statistics of patients. I also prepared rooms for boarding and transported blood samples to the phlebotomy lab.
