SWIFT Technical Limited / Angola LNG January.2014 – January 2016Soyo, AngolaProject: Cadal Road and Bridge ProjectLocation: Soyo, Zaire, AngolaProject Cost: 80.0M USDPosition: Senior Civil Inspector Duties and Responsibilities: • Monitor and ensure that safety is foremost being implemented as per the Tenets of Operation of ALNG.• Review Project Specification, Inspection and Test Plan submittals.• Duties include inspecting, monitoring and supervising quality control in the Construction of bored piles of bridges and its foundations, superstructures, which includes launching of concrete girders and grouting works on bearing pads.• Monitor / Witness all testing activities in the project site.• Report all NCR and coordinate to Senior Resident Engineer for corrective action methods to be adopted for the non-conformities encountered in the project.• Aware of all contract specification requirements for material testing.• Monitor and Inspect Contractor’s activities to ensure that works are being constructed as per the Design and Specifications.• Ensure materials delivered are as approved and are properly stored.• Continue to be updated with new materials, test methods and code requirements.• Check and review construction methodology statement of contractor prior to implementation.• Mentor and Assist National Inspectors with insight into proper construction practices.• Assist and up-dates the Senior Resident Engineer relative to Contractor’s Activities.• Assist on reviews of Technical Drawings, As-built and other pertinent documents submitted by the Contractor.• Conducts final Inspection on all works completed for the purpose of issuance of Substantial Completion of the Cadal Road and Bridge project.• Prepare Daily Report.
