About Jonathan Bishop

I have worked in the IT and Retail Industrys for 30+ years. like many engineers I started in support and operations roles before moving into software development. I first started developing on IBM iSeries machines before moving onto desktop applications using C++ and then into the .Net world. For the last couple of years I have worked almost exclusively on Azure Functions and services using C#, .Net Core and SQL but have also been learning Node.js and React for frontend. During this time I have lead teams on engineering projects and provided expertise and guidance to my peers but also those throughout the business who need technical knowledge to support their functions. I still enjoy the IT industry today as much as I did when I started. Its exciting, ever changing and you get to meet some really smart people ! Looking forward to many more years.
