Coordinate the pre-admission assessment process and provide clinical assessment for potential patients. I work collaboratively with other Access Response Center team members to provide level of care assessments, expedite admissions and coordinate resources and information for the facility.

I’ve accumulated valuable hands-on experience in many facets of social work as demonstrated by the following accomplishments at the VA: provided services and support to veterans in PACT, implemented crisis interventions that successfully ensured the safety of patients experiencing suicidal and homicidal ideation (SI/HI), received special training in Motivational Interviewing , participated in work groups including psych-evaluation and intro-professional didactic, facilitated both Parkinson’s and Dementia support groups, and assessed and followed up with caregivers from COACH program by implementing interventions that successfully reduced caregiver burden and stress.
