Principal Engineer responsible for management of engineering staff in the performance of construction monitoring and materials testing services on various commercial and government construction projects. Duties include senior review of daily field reports, monitoring job progress, assisting with the resolution of both technical and administrative problems, and performing personnel performance reviews.In addition to engineering duties, major responsibilities also include solicitation of new business opportunities, marketing, and preparation of proposals. Senior Structural Engineer responsible for overseeing all aspects of the tower design group that was engaged in the design and analysis of new and existing telecommunication facilities, including self-supporting lattice towers, guyed towers, monopole structures and building roof-top installations. Responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of engineers, checking and signing structural work, designing and analyzing existing facilities, client contact, invoicing and other project management duties. The Washington, DC design group helped to support the efforts of other URS offices including Florida, Nevada, Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio and Georgia.

Senior Project Engineer responsible for design and analysis of new and existing telecommunication facilities for various cell telephone providers. Included analysis of existing lattice towers, guyed towers, monopole structures and building components to accommodate additional antenna equipment for new cell carriers. Also included designing new antenna platforms for tank mounted applications utilizing the ANSI/TIA/EIA-222-F-1996 design specification. Familiar with STAAD-III and ERITower software packages for tower analysis. Other duties included performing building condition surveys and development of a construction quality control manual.

Project Engineer responsible for complete design of $20 million marine terminal facility for the Mississippi State Port Authority located in Gulfport, Mississippi. Project included design of 750-foot long concrete pile supported wharf structure to be used for commercial cargo handling, as well as by the US Navy as a layberth facility. Features unique to this project included high capacity structure (1000 psf Live Load), capable of supporting 100-ft gauge rail mounted gantry cranes, AREMA and AASHTO compliant, and able to handle vessel impact and mooring loads from 950-foot vessels. Other aspects of design included anchored sheet pile bulkheads, cofferdam stability analysis, mooring platform design and analysis, and design for dynamic wave effects. In addition, coordinated all work with electrical, mechanical and civil subconsultants. Construction document package also included complete specifications and cost estimates.

Served over 6 years in project management/engineering positions in design and construction of numerous heavy civil projects. Responsible for design of over $10 million in heavy construction projects, including rail tunnel supports, excavation support systems, concrete slurry walls and retaining walls, temporary bridge structures and buildings. Other responsibilities have included structural inspection of numerous bridges and buildings, cost estimation, and specification review. Computer literate, with specific knowledge of STAAD-III, Ram Steel, VisualAnalysis and Mathcad, as well as Microsoft Office software.
