Jonathan's new role in Sustainable Finance and Environmental Markets draws on his global banking and industry relationships, proven track record across leadership in structured finance, project advisory and team/project management over +20 year period. This hands on experience being developed in the course of his work in the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors working for ANZ and NM Rothschild & Co. Jonathan's ability to think laterally and focus on looking for innovative tailored solutions to complex projects has been a cornerstone of his leading role in the origination, structuring and execution of numerous national and global award winning innovative transactions, working with multi-disciplinary finance, technical and regulatory teams. This expertise combined with his training, scientific network and work experience in earth sciences, operating across different geological terrains and biomes, has supported the pivot into his transition and nature based solutions role. Over the last +2 years he has build a track record of leading the origination, design, and incubation of 3 emerging large scalable transition projects that aim to deliver breakthrough high impact outcomes across climate, nature and community. The emerging projects include native terrestrial and marine reforestation, environment and waste clean up to renewable fuels, and are all funded through bespoke commercial structures, including establishment of new joint venture entities. All projects focus on community as a priority and in the process of generating future carbon and biodiversity credits, seek to address a wide range of UN SDG's to deliver enduring projects with highest standards of authenticity. Jonathan’s passion and focus is to deliver a pipeline of high impact scalable transition projects for ANZ and its globally diverse clients, that supports a 2030 nature positive decarbonisation pathway.
