Mr. Boright is a professional geographer with more than 20 years of experience in GIS, cartography, and data visualization. His work has centered primarily on visualization and analysis of environmental data sets with a particular emphasis on global data models, 3D, and temporal analysis. Through an academic background in geology, environmental studies, and geography, as well as his work experience in private industry, Mr. Boright has developed a solid understanding of regional as well as global environmental and social issues. Before joining ISciences, he worked as a private GIS consultant and as a GIS Specialist for a large environmental consulting firm. His work included GIS analysis, remote sensing, environmental modeling, application development, and cartographic design. Projects included flood inundation mapping for multiple dam breach scenarios, cartographic design and production of maps depicting river erosion, and the development of a GIS tool designed to automate and streamline a complex GIS analysis and mapping process. Mr. Boright brings to ISciences a thorough knowledge of geographic and cartographic theory and practices, from GIS modeling and spatial analysis to map production, as well as proficiency with multiple GIS, database, cartographic, and image processing software.
