My work at the Wyss Institute addressed a broad range of synthetic biology topics, emphasizing technology development for genomic and transcriptomic manipulations, as well as high throughput sequencing based assays.

My responsibilities included design and execution of experiments relating to the primary nitrogen metabolism of Arabidopsis thaliana, generation of new transgenic seed lines, preparation of stock solutions, maintenance of lab cultures including Arabidopsis thaliana and Rhizobium radiobacter (Agrobacterium tumefaciens), research computing support, and training new lab members.

I held biweekly office hours to provide teaching support to first and second semester organic chemistry students. Worked with students, both individually and in groups, to improve their understanding of common reaction mechanisms and their ability to interpret experimental results.

I assisted with animal handling and injected micro tags for the Juvenile Lobster Monitoring Program. Showed the relationship between water temperature and fecundity in the Gulf of Maine Homarus americanus population.
