My main areas of interest are: Imaging domain formation in supported lipid bilayers, synthesis of metallic nanoparticles and their characterisation, EM simulations of optical properties of nanoparticles and also membrane/small molecule interactions with a number of fluorescence methods. My other areas of work include the development of novel SPR systems including the theoretical basis of sensing, design of instrumentation and the development of camera control software in C++.My role also includes laboratory management, purchasing, health and safety oversight and some scientific instrument management.
