In this National role, I was accountable for the development, implementation and maintenance of an effective Health and Safety Management System, which included managing the injury management and workers compensation program; developing the return to work plans for injured team members; implementing and maintaining injury management and workers compensation procedures; monitoring legislation and standard changes and providing recommendations for any changes or updates to procedures and processes; developing and maintaining the requirements for the Health and Safety portal; managing and supporting the implementation of the WHS calendar of activities; developing, implementing and maintaining the companies education needs analysis and was responsible for ensuring non conformance's identified were closed out for internal and external audits.Key Achievements: · Facilitated education sessions on the health and safety management system to all business functions · Assisted with the development of the corporate and shopping centre risk registers· Developed and implemented the contractor management induction process

In this National role I was accountable for mentoring and coaching Area Managers, Store Managers and the on-site leadership team with their Health & Safety responsibilities. Key areas of focus included regularly reviewing OHS performance and develop strategies and campaigns to address trends; assisting the National Health & Safety Manager to implement national safety strategy and related projects.; conducting training on safety leadership, policies, procedures and strategies and executing a proactive health, safety and wellbeing culture. I was also responsible for preparing, analysing and communicating monthly and weekly OHS reports, highlighting areas for improvement, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions; ensuring compliance with all relevant state OHS/WHS legislative requirements; implementing and monitoring Health & Safety policies and processes internally and externally; supporting the Injury Management advisors to ensure injuries were managed effectively; completing high risk investigations and risk assessments; preparing and delivering safety information at Area Manager meetings; analysing and following up with key stakeholders on internal OHS audits and the provision of advice and support on preventative corrective action; analysing, implementing and preparing sites for Self-Insurance, internal and external regulator audit programs; preparing and developing Safe Work Practices and training resources and influencing key stakeholders through incident reporting trend analysisKey Achievements:· Re-developed the Officeworks Health & Safety internet page for national site access to Health & Safety information · Developed the Emergency Management online training course for all sites nationally Facilitated and Co-ordinated Health & Safety training according to the current trends of the organisation and required legislative standards · Managed the Health & Safety requirements at the Victorian and Western Australian Distribution Centres

In this role I supported the Vic/Tas Coles Express business in achieving HSE compliance and improved safety culture by: · Assisting with the development and implementation of the HSE Strategic Plans· Analysing incident trends and KPIs· Preparing reports for senior leadership team management· Preparing analysis training needs and interpreting legislation and industry standards. Key areas of focus included coaching and training stores and management teams on Health & Safety issues (Emergency Response training, Manual Handling training); facilitating Return to Work plans and participating in monthly Workers Compensation claims reviews; conducting high risk formal investigations; participated in the ongoing management of the Coles Express Reward & Recognition project; ensuring compliance related infringements were managed effectively by reporting notifiable and significant incidents to Worksafe Victoria/Tasmania and actioning findings/recommendations issued by Worksafe Victoria/Tasmania.Key Achievements:· Developed and distributed HSE communication to 620 sites and relevant stakeholders· Managed the Coles Express incident reporting system: ensured incident reports were collated, analysed and entered into appropriate databases and reports were distributed to stakeholders · Completed risk assessments; providing ongoing support and technical safety advice to over 200 sites

In this role I was accountable for completing various tasks including data entry, reporting, overseeing the early redemption and redemption process for Commonwealth Bank Debentures, liaison with clients, financial advisors and banks. I was also a member of the OH & S Committee.
