I had the honor of working with Gil Gates for three years. He was my friend and mentor, and "Nightmare Alley" was sadly the last creative project Gil would ever direct. I am eternally grateful for the time we had together and will dedicate all future productions of "Nightmare Alley" to Gil. His office was like Hollywood central. I would sit on his couch opposite his desk working on my latest draft or changes to the script while he fielded calls from Dick Van Dyke, Clint Eastwood or Annette Bening.

After working with Circle founder, Marshall Mason on "Foxfire," he introduced me to John Bishop. John became a mentor, collaborator and I became a Composer In Residence for some of the finest actors, directors and writers anywhere. What an honor, and what an experience.
