I am a partner in the Commercial Litigation Group at DAC Beachcroft. I advise on banking and finance disputes, Financial Services regulatory investigations, White Collar Crime and complex contractual disputes. I act for financial institutions in relation to a wide range of investment and retail banking disputes, often involving complex financial instruments. Much of my work in this area has an international dimension; acting for non-UK financial institutions in litigation in the English High Court or pursuing claims in Foreign Courts, including tracing exercises and enforcement action. I have wide experience in handling Financial Services regulatory investigations. I have acted for parties involved in FCA investigations and enforcement action; for clients involved in investigations concerning LIBOR, EURIBOR and FOREX manipulation, international sanctions, money laundering, bribery and corruption. I frequently work with foreign lawyers representing client's interests across multiple jurisdictions. I handle the defence or criminal proceedings brought against corporate entities and their employees. I currently act for one of 11 traders charged by the SFO with conspiracy to defraud in relation to the alleged manipulation of EURIBOR as well as for traders charged by the US DoJ for the alleged manipulation of LIBOR involving advising on extradition. I have also acted for parties involved in a number of confidential corporate investigations conducted by the SFO relating to allegations of bribery and corruption. I have been ranked in the Legal 500 since 2009, most recently as 'a very safe pair of hands’for Banking Litigation: Investment and Retail, London 2015, and as ‘highly competent’ Commercial Litigation, London 2015, as being ‘fully briefed and prepared', Banking Litigation, London 2014 and as a ‘particularly good litigator', Commercial Litigation, London 2014.I am Membership Secretary of the Fraud Lawyers Association, a member of the European Criminal Bar Association, Financial Services Lawyers Association and the London Solicitors Litigation Association.
