I and responsible for all work carried out within the composite assembly department. -ensuring all QA documentation is followed and complete -attending production meetings to ensure work to lists are correct and reporting of any delays -

Producing 3D ply books, Fibresim ply templates and Laser positioning data for manufacture of composite component for the F1 cars. Based in the Design office using Siemens NX CAD software the role involves communicating with composite design engineers, stress analysis and composite production to produce and improve on up and component assembly.

Module Leader the impacts module i oversaw work manufactured to the highest of standards across both Laminating and Trim and Assembly. - Driving continuous improvement of components and staff across both disciplines. -ensuring good communication of component progress between design, production and Race Team. -constructing timing plans to communicate delivery of key assemblies across the business. -Answering Faults from trackside and processing NCR from production. - Using Siemens NX CAD software and Teamcentre to view drawings and assembly models. -Conducting appraisals to technicians, understanding areas of improvements and helping achieve career goals set.

As a Composite Technician my role included.- based in the Chassis module working as part of a team manufacturing the Chassis from the start of the tooling process, Laminating of the Class A structures to the assembly of the finished monocoque.- attending the crash testing of the structure at Williams and at Canfield university.- Supporting driver seat fit and installation.-repairing or upgrading of any components during the race season.-always reviewing standards and processes with the module leader and the design office to drive continuous improvement.- supporting other modules including Front and Rear wing, Suspension, Brake Duct and Floor manufacture and build.- carrying out Bodywork pre fit to ensure components are ready to race.During this time I also gained my NVQ level 3 Diploma in Composite Manufacturing Engineering.

As a Bodywork repair Technician I traveled around the world as part of the Race Team. My duties included - Repairing and maintaining all composite parts for the F1 cars at each event- Maintaining all spares and ensuring stock levels of components were accurate and ready if called for and the factory and events- Ensuring both cars were presented to the highest possible standards and delivered on time to each session the car ran.- Taking part in pit stops during the race weekend and practice back at the factory - using excellent communication skills to the Chief Mechanic, Engineers and the factory to report any issues and to coordinate race car components accordingly.

As a Composite Technician I worked on all aspects of the F1 composite components both Laminating and Assembling class A, structural and non structural components singularly and as parts of a team of technicians.This involved liaising with Module leaders and the Design Officer to achieve the goals set by the business to the highest standards and to tight deadlines whilst always looking to improve standards and practices.I gained knowledge of using Siemens NX and Team centre to be able to view models and produce components to drawing.

As a Composite Laminator I learnt all types of carbon composite lay up, including L.T.M mould making, Wet lay up tooling and panel production for various motorsport and aerospace companies.As a Trimmer and fitter I learnt all aspects of the assembly side to composite including the trimming, bonding of components, jig and fixture assembly. I have worked on various components including F1 diffusers, Brake Ducts and Wings.I have also spent time in the Pattern shop producing pattern for projects including Touring cars, Rally Raid and various wind tunnel models. I have learnt how to do mould splits and wearing and other pattern making techniques. I am proficient with all pattern making machinery.
