After working for a large communications company (Telewest/Virgin Media) within Customer Service/Support for many years being made redundant, took a career break and undertook some short term roles.My work evolved with a strong focus on Operational Support and Customer Service. Various roles I undertook saw me dealing with a wide spectrum of enquiries both from Customers & internal operational field departments. My daily tasks saw me involved in direct Customer Service to the dispatching of Field Engineers, to analysing faults; & dealing with technical enquiries. I also ran a busy order entry department & carried out quality checks & pre-installation auditing. My last roles involved quota management, running a "priority installation helpdesk", improving install & fault wait times. Technical work saw me involved telephony networks, number portability & network assigning. These roles ran alongside working on busy "failed installs/construction desk"; dealing with failed installs, basic streetworks legislation & traffic noticing. This also included liaison with Local Authorities regarding local planning regulation and listed buildings. Other tasks involved street cabinet distribution & telephony capacity.All of the above was built around teamwork, delivering excellent Customer Service,improving the Customer experience & problem solving. I am a highly focused team player committed to Customer Service. My years at Telewest/Virgin saw me involved in integrating a small, regional Operations Centre into a large, nationwide company. Having worked in a busy Customer focused environment I am used to multitasking & working on issues simultaneously. I am seen as knowledgeable and somebody who people will come to to seek help when issues need resolving promptly. Over the years I received several awards for my staff support & Customer Service. Other projects I helped initiate included the reduction of order entry errors by 30% & the reduction of Customer wait times.My current role involves me again working in a similar role but more customer service orientated, working on a major internet project delivering internet services to the client's customers. This is a more customer service, call centre type role and involves the same or similar elements of my previous role at Telewest/Virgin Media.Looking to move completely away from mainstream customer service work and move back into operational support roles especially in fibre optics, telecoms and utilities. Would if possible love to go back into roads&streetworks and associated operational support.
