Managing a small but powerful team of engineers striving to provide clients best in class, full-scope engineering services for Overhead Transmission Lines.

Responsible for leading / managing a team of (5) engineers covering all New Business, Reliability, and Compliance work:- Candidate selection and interviewing, training, mentoring, and coaching individual team members- Organizing, prioritizing, and managing tasks and deliverables to timely completion.- Culture setting and development of team specific values, vision and mission.- Technical review and approval of all team deliverables.- Innovation of processes to increase work efficiency and quality of deliverables.- Creating and executing strategy for DPL Gas regulatory compliance activities including: - Materials failure analysis - System performance analysis (e.g. leaks) and system integrity management planning - Review of industry events and developments (e.g. participation in American Gas Association subcommittees) - Regular participation in cross OpCo initiatives and comparisons (e.g. equipment and operational methods standardization) - Development and review of engineering and construction standards and operating procedures - Data analysis for creation of regulatory reports and responding to miscellaneous business data requests - Participating in audits (internal and external) and inspections from the Public Service Commission.Continued as Responsible Engineer for several projects during this time.

Responsible Engineer for the Cast Iron Main Renewal Program for the City of Wilmington, projects that represent a budget of >$25M each year in addition to multiple other projects (transmission valve replacements, regulator station rebuilds, etc).- Project planning and design from Initiate through Closeout- Project document / package development: drawings, scopes of work, diagrams, materials, standards, permits, etc.- Writing and Reviewing Procedures for Tie-Ins and Retirements- Project Coordination (e.g. with contractors, internal stakeholders, external stakeholders, etc).

Project Development: Assisted with developing and reviewing designs, scopes of work, and other project documents. Provided subject matter expertise on constructability such as sequencing, means and methods, selection of material laydown areas, identification of potential construction issues, and more. Led contractor pre-bid meetings, answered bidder questions, and participated in bid reviews and bidder selection.Project Execution:Responsible for all aspects of construction from project pre-construction mtg to final testing & commissioning and lessons learned meetings.- Overseeing contractors and enforcing compliance with safety and quality standards, job drawings and work specifications, and terms of the contract including schedule and cost.- Leading regular construction progress meetings and producing field progress reports.- Managing the requisition, acceptance, delivery, and return of all materials- Pre-identifying issues that would impact construction cost and/or schedule and working to resolve those issues in advance.- Reviewing all contractor invoices and change orders for accuracy.- Coordinating with internal project stakeholders (system operations, environmental, etc.) and third parties (state permit agencies, other utilities, property owners, etc.).

Managed and designed overhead transmission line projects: Organized project stakeholders and conducted project kickoff meetings and regular project progress meetings. Self-performed the project design (sag-tension, materials, steel poles, foundations, scope of work document, etc.). Ordered materials (poles, wire, assemblies, etc.). Conducted high level cost estimating and scheduling. Managed project financials (budgeting, forecasts, closeout, etc.).

Continued assisting with PLS-CADD modeling and AutoCAD for project drawings on the 69kV circuit rebuild. Conducted detailed conductor sag analysis for critical crossing of Amtrak corridor.

Participated in the 30% and 60% deliverables for a 69kV rebuild project in Wilmington, DE. Created PLS-CADD from scratch including alignment, light duty steel pole models (PLS-POLE), and conductor including distribution underbuild, distribution crossings, and other attachments. Imported LiDAR survey and adjusted alignment and model to match. Assisted with the creation of steel pole load drawings, steel pole detail drawings, and material assembly drawings.
