- Facilitated on-call (after hours) crisis intervention with individuals experiencing acute mental health crisis that places them at risk of harm to self or others- Conducted mental status examination and psychosocial assessment to determine level of need and recommended care - Provided appropriate community referrals where necessary- Interfaces with hospital staff and law enforcement on a frequent basisThis was my second stint doing crisis outreach, although beginning in March 2018 I joined MCOT full-time as part of a hybrid role with continuity of care. I also did this work from August 2014-August 2015 in an on-call capacity.

- Coordinate client admission and discharge with Cedar Crest Hospital and state hospitals- Assist directly with client follow-up upon discharge to ensure clients can continue care in an outpatient setting upon discharge- Monitor utilization of state-funded contract beds in order to balance and sustain client services with optimal use of resources- Manage relations with pertinent stakeholders

- Performed daily diagnostic evaluation and psychosocial assessment to determine client qualifications for outpatient mental health services with HOT Region MHMR.- Educated clients on various community resources based on need and informed them on how to access relevant resources

- Served clients with diagnoses of schizophrenia spectrum disorders, bipolar disorders, and other mood or depressive disorders- Reduced risk of harm and functional impairment by providing level 3 plan of care (intensive services with team-based approach)- Facilitated psychosocial rehabilitation by engaging in skills training, psychoeducation, money management, basic living skills, and medication management- Performed assessments and created/updated treatment plans centered on client needs- Educated clients on various community resources and provided clients with access and advocacy when needed - Made appropriate referrals where necessary

I provided coaching and advising services primarily to students on the pre-health track. I met one-on-one with an average of 18-20 students weekly to discuss individual plans and help them formulate a strategy for applying to various health professions schools. I also met with students transitioning to the pre-health track as well as those considering other options. Other student services I routinely provided included personal statement development and feedback, mock interviewing, resume and cover letter review, and assistance with creating a job and internship search strategy. Within the office, I assisted with and led workshops and presentations regarding job searching. I managed the office's social media outlet via Facebook and television postings, providing relevant information regarding upcoming events and services. I also helped to coordinate volunteers for our bi-annual Career Fair and annual Health Professions Fair.
