New parts can be obtained from already existing parts a manufacturer or talks with manufacturers must be held in order to find the part with the correct specifications needed at a reasonable price. Research and design takes place when new parts are needed and possible updates need to be made to already existing motor controllers.

The head of the Electrical and Computer Engineering department approached me and asked me if I could be the Teacher Assistant for ECE 485 since I would be joining the Masters program and he liked my work ethic. The course deals with Embedded Real Time operating systems which is a special computer system that is designed to perform dedicated functions with real-time computing constraints.

This position deals with being a personal mentor and helping new first generation students one on one to get accustomed to the college experience. A certain amount of students are given to the student mentor and that mentor will work together with those students for the whole semester. Helping the new first generation students may include working on homework with them, giving them advise with what classes to take, and how to manage there time so they can keep there lives as stress free as possible.

At Fort Wayne City Utilities, I am currently working under the Engineering team. I work alongside the main Electrical Engineer who has guided me throughout my experience at Fort Wayne City Utilities. Through the Main Electrical Engineer, I have learned about electrical design work on AutoCAD Electrical, high voltage Calculations, wire size calculations for high voltage equipment, the design process a project goes through, and much more. With this internship, my respect and importance of government jobs and workers has increased in every aspect. The team works hard to get projects accomplished as soon as possible while also assisting each other whenever possible. Great real world experience and increase in knowledge for anyone looking for a good internship to start off at.

I worked to provide the best possible shopping experience for every customer. Whatever the customer needed, I worked to meet their requirements as best as possible. I priced and marked the due dates for any item in my area that needed it. I kept the area as clean as I could so no contamination to the product was possible. Whatever my boss needed me to do, I was willing to do even if it was something new. If it was something new, I tried to work as fast as possible to do the job as fast and efficiently as could be.

I worked in the produce section for Kroger for about a year. I learned to be able to talk to our customers in a very respectful manner and attend to any of their needs to the best of my abilities. It was my job to stock the floor and to make it look the best it could look in order to give the customer the best shopping experience they could have.

I would take care of the customer when needed. If they needed help with clothes fittings, I would call someone who knows how to take measurements of the clothes. If the customer needed to pick up their clothes, I would deliver the items and receive the money. I would be the first person the customers would see so I had to always greet everyone and make them feel welcome.
