Mainframe I worked in the mainframe area in Equant for the 7 years both in a project environment and in a day to day role. • Development of new PLI programs from User requests. The programs can use either existing SAM files or SQL statements that extract data from DB2 database.• Design, analyzing and scripting of JCL for execution of new and existing PLI programs.• Unit Testing of PLI programs and JCL scripts.• System Testing of PLI programs and JCL scripts.• User Testing of PLI programs and JCL Scripts• Creation of JCL scripts for file transfer to Sybase platform from Mainframe for reporting systems.• Design, analyzing and scripting PLI batch programs for Daily, Weekly or Monthly schedules.• Maintenance and Enhancement of existing PLI programs.• Design, analyzing and scripting Selcopy and sort programs for data specific reports.• Creation of SQL statements using the SPUFI console for DML commands to execute on a DB2 database.• Creation of SQL statements to resolve User queries on the DB2 database. • Creation and maintenance of Unix shell scripts for file transfer to Global LANs using ISHELL console.• Testing of JCL, PLI, Selcopy and DB2 scripts in Test and QA using Endeavor environment.• Debugging of abends to scheduled jobs. This would entail be on 24 hour call.
