About Jonathan Castro
Since I discovered programming and artificial intelligence at university, I have been involved with it in different ways:Even before graduating I started working in the video game sector, at the level of graphs and decision trees. Later in my professional life I have always been linked to startups developing or leading the development of products that innovated in the sector: First in Dive (www.dive.tech), which by means of artificial vision detected all kinds of information in films and series both live and in streaming. Later I continued to work on AI products at Hocelot, in this case in a company more oriented towards data and inference through algorithms, mainly for Insurance and Banking. This was when I made the leap to lead from product instead of technology, because I realised that I wanted to have knowledge and experience at both a technical and business level.In Hocelot I discovered my next big challenge to continue complementing my career: High productivity in development teams and I started to deepen in parallel to product development in exponential organisation methodologies and to adapt Agile to the new paradigm of liquid and decentralised organisations (something very obvious now, but this was before Covid).After the Hocelot stage and with all the knowledge acquired, I entered a stage as an independent consultant, helping several companies in product and method, as product owner or linked to operations teams of technology companies such as Eccocar (Mobility startup) or Arbor (Fintech). All this in an unbeatable environment for entrepreneurship: Google for Startups.In 2019, just before Covid, we decided, with the experience and knowledge we had accumulated, to start up and found The Cliff and today we have grown year after year. We founded The Cliff to be able to innovate and develop technological products with the most cutting-edge emerging technologies that we believe will change the world. For me it is a professional privilege to be able to mix my experience in videogames, interactive environments and artificial intelligence in the current focuses of innovation such as spatial computing, digital twins and generative AI.I am currently continuing my training in Artificial Intelligence with a personal goal of getting my PhD in a few years in AI and continue innovating from business and academia, but always with a practical approach.
