I have over 30 years of experience providing leadership to teams in the construction, facilities operation, and engineering industries, as well as in the US Navy. During that time I have shouldered responsibility for all phases of construction projects from planning and design, through construction, and ultimately into plant operation and maintenance. I am process-oriented and believe this allows for the standardization between projects that is necessary to manage risk, ensure sound relationships with the various stakeholders, and maintain continuity of practice, planning, and safety. I have a broad range of private and public sector experiences which give me insight into the very different business and staff management models employed by each. I have integrated into the client’s staff, led multidisciplinary organizations, and led remote teams on multi-site projects covering the continental United States. I transition easily between roles requiring communication of detailed technical knowledge of facilities planning and construction; and those which require presenting broader project concepts to executive, political, and community groups in a clear, concise, and understandable manner.
