I was headhunted for the position of Store Manager working on and off corse and work as part of a small management team across stores located within the Southwest & Wales. At present I run a store and am responsible for cash handling & banking, rota and time management of the store. I also support others from this and other stores though training, disciplinary and providing/accepting criticismI am also responsible for providing, editing & Summarising of reports, along with the promotion & marketing of the store. Also due to the nature of the business I have to use a high level of numeracy and be able to think quickly and make decisions independently.

I managed various stores for Betfred in my 11 years service to the company, I would on occasion take over the management and responsibilities of a different store, which at times I may not have worked at prior, however, I was relied on to step in and provide relief as required. I also worked long hours to cover the store opening times and on many occasions manning the store alone. To work in the betting industry I also needed to have good customer service skills and good interaction with colleagues, which is why I become a manager within the company.

As a sales assistant in the fast paced store in Cumbria, working as part of a team and having a high level of product knowledge which helped with promoting the sales products and offering guidance to customers within the store.Adhering to company policies & procedure, working alone and as part of a team to help the continually working of the store. I was always aware and up to date with all promotions and price changes, I would assist with stock takes and help with deliveries, I also have good people skills dealing with both customers and colleagues at different situations.
