-Work closely with IT to develop and maintain a SharePoint site to fit the needs of the HR department.-Assisted with the design and implementation of the SharePoint onboarding form that automates the necessary tasks needed to complete the onboarding process for new hires. -Designed, developed, and implemented Oracle’s Taleo Business Edition to fit HR’s current procedures and workflow. System Lead for; mapping, developing, troubleshooting, and planning the system infrastructure while also working with vendors to set up job posting distributions required for OFCCP compliance.-Work closely with our Quality Management team to develop a process/procedures manual needed for VETS to become ISO 9001 certified. These procedures manuals outline the necessary steps and use of the systems in which HR uses on a daily basis. -Update and maintain fields for our Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) allowing for better use of the plan while also reducing the amount of time required to enter the data for employees. -Handle all correspondence and data entry pertaining to; employee onboarding, employee changes of records, pay increases and promotions, worker’s compensation claims, short-term and long-term disability claims, -Have knowledge and understanding of our benefits packages and the ability to counsel employees with any questions or concerns.-Report and track Worker’s Comp claims for the entire company, including OSHA reporting requirements.-Ability to work under minimal supervision, which is expected of me, to enroll all employees in their benefits packages offered by VETS and do so within a given timeline. -Experience with numerous company enrollment systems and procedures that are used to add, edit, and/or terminate employees of VETS. Systems including; E-Verify, VA Reporting, CIGNA, Lincoln, Travelers, Ameritas, CBIZ, Deltek, and others. -Currently hold a DOD Security Clearance-Certified Human Resources Generalist-Certified Family Medical Leave Act administrator

-Former member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). The NAIFA develops lobbying strategies, comments on key issues, implements uniform policies and participates in litigation to positively impact our clients and our industry.-Woodmen gave me the opportunity to expand my knowledge of the insurance field to a whole new level. Not only was I a Representative of Woodmen, I also had Fraternal obligations that must be reached. Most of these obligations included gaining membership to Woodmen through purchasing a Woodmen product. -I was an independent agent with minimal supervision and guidance. This has improved my organizational skills as well as my work etiquette and time management.-With Woodmen, I offered clients financial planning for every stage of life. Starting with life insurance as a foundation and offering other products (Roth IRA’s, Traditional IRA’s, and 401(K) Rollovers) to help build a strong financial position tailored towards each family’s needs. -I was involved in community activities to help promote Woodmen, as well as, the community involvement.

-I have developed and implemented a business plan tailored towards prospecting and growing my current book of business and by following this I have been successful in my current line of work.-I service and maintain client relations of existing customers by handling their concerns and providing them service in a professional and timely manner.-Once I started with Farm Bureau, I focused on learning the insurance standards set forth by underwriting guidelines of our company and I physically view and inspect all client properties to certify they met these requirements. Taking pictures of homes, checking plumbing, and checking breaker boxes to certify that they meet specs is required with every new business application on a building policy.-Providing the highest level of customer service that clients would expect and my ability to work independently and sufficiently has also led to my success as an agent.-Adapting to the fast paced environment that we all live in, I knew one characteristic that I must conquer was the ability to quote and present applications for new business in a timely fashion.-I have designed and completed business logs and monthly reports for production tracking of Upper Management.

-Working with the REF I developed an information system of proposed properties being pursued by the Foundation.-I conducted extensive independent Courthouse research on properties located within the Longwood University Campus.-I was on a team that aided in the research and development of new projects being headed by the Real Estate Foundation. One such project was viewing and reporting on conditions of three apartment complexes that Longwood had involvement with. -I also researched town ordinances, zoning restrictions, etc. and verified that projects met these requirements. -I attended Town Meetings and other related meetings representing the Foundation and Longwood.-As an Intern, I also composed and analyzed financial statements of new businesses within the Small Business Development Center’s territory. I mostly worked on cost analysis and break-even analysis for the companies acquiring aid from the Small Business Development Center.
