I am Nathan Chung, currently 20 years old and studying a double major degree on Tourism Marketing and Hospitality Management in Curtin Mauritius. My ‘why’ in this industry happens to be the innovative aspect of Tourism. The way how the hospitality sector teams up with Tourism makes it fun to work and invest one’s time. This is where interest and creativity play a big role in my career. Being a young adult, energy and time are our main resources to attain a success level. Since my 16th birthday, I started working as a translator in various hotels such as Dinarobin Beachcomber and Shandrani thus leading to an increase in my productivity level. Climbing up the ladder, I manage to work as an operation officer and a translator in an helicopter company called Corail Helicopteres. In a nutshell, I am always dealing with human interaction and understanding their subjective interpretation of reality and behavior. Such technique is acquired through experience and knowledge and with time, I will surely master the aspect of how people react to certain situations. Teamwork also enabled me to cooperate with various kinds of personalities professionally. The way of dealing with different teammates varies and is always a personal interest to help and tackle issues as a team. It makes it more fun and creates a better atmosphere to work.
