Managed a team of analysts who monitored and identified emerging risks in the Victorian correctional system and conducted performance audits of prisons.

Led a project to re-design the way the Office of Correctional Services Review conducts reviews and investigations of the Victorian corrections system.

Led an interdepartmental team conducting research to underpin a ten-year, state-wide crime and public safety strategy. Represented the Department of Justice on the Australian Joint Agencies Scanning Network and the Family Violence Interdepartmental Committee.

Managed parliamentary inquiries, including supervising senior council officers and administrative staff, and supervising secretariat support to parliamentary committees.

Policy manager of the Magistrates Early Referral Into Treatment (MERIT) Program, a local court-based illicit drug diversion program, and led the development and implementation of drug treatment and traffic offender programs for the Crime Prevention Division.

Provided counselling, court preparation and support to victims and witnesses involved in sexual assault and homicide matters prosecuted by the NSW ODPP.

Designed and conducted research, evaluation and statistical analysis within the Department of Corrective Services and wrote research reports and issues briefs.

Developed a computer simulation model, and accompanying manual, of the NSW criminal justice system for the purposes of evaluating proposed policy changes.

Provided one-to-one and group counselling to prisoners in the NSW correctional system, and prepared psychological reports for the criminal courts and parole board. I managed a custody-based violence prevention program, supervising 22 custodial and non-custodial staff in the delivery of the program. I also designed and conducted research into the efficacy of psychological programs and co-authored conference papers on this topic. Guest lecturer in Forensic Psychology to fourth year psychology students at University of Western Sydney.
