I started my Financial Services career back in 1988, as a trainee mortgage adviser working alongside a very busy estate agency based IFA. Once qualified, I moved to another local firm as a mortgage adviser in 1990, but then decided to have a short break in order to travel - which stretched to 18 months!Upon my return, I was lucky to receive an offer from my previous employer, and joined a start-up Partnership called Chadney Bulgin in February of 1993.I was a pure mortgage specialist, assisting clients with purchases, remortgages, bridging finance, and second charge loans together with associated protection products. I'm proud to have always been a 'whole-of-market' broker, never tied/restricted and therefore able to source the best possible products for my clients.I also offer advice on all manner of 'later life' mortgages including equity release, RIO, and interest only variants.I was made a partner in 1996 and stayed with the firm until its acquisition by Fairstone Wealth Management in October of 2021My ethos is very simple - what would I do in the client's position, knowing what I do about the market & available products?
