Manage wpd Canada's renewable energy greenfield development in wind, solar and storage power.

Reporting to the President of wpd Canada and the Wind Technician Manager, I am responsible for overseeing the operations of 4 Class IV industrial wind energy projects. I ensure compliance of Federal, Provincial, and Municipal regulations, oversee site inspections and equipment testing, order maintenance, manage contractors, create project proposals and perform public consultations.Key Accomplishments• Ensured that the wind projects have and continue to meet all post construction regulatory commitments and compliance requirements.• Oversee acoustic testing, bird and bat mortality monitoring, and environmental monitoring for all project site, taking corrective action to ensure continuous compliance of all equipment• Manage over 30 subcontractors and electricians, scheduling maintenance and repairs such as icing, road and turbine maintenance, vegetation restoration, and switching station repairs to ensure projects maintain high levels of availability. • Procured equipment and construction through the Request for Quote (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes on 15 occasions ranging from $10,000 to $200,000 per procurement • Serve as organizational resource for Renewable Energy Approval process, O-REG 359-09, and a variety of other Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws and regulations• Facilitated over 20 community consultations meetings to discuss project development and community concerns.

Reporting to the Director of Environmental Approvals, I was responsible for constructing proposals for new large-scale wind energy projects. I led required research initiatives, conducted community consultations, liaised with government officials, and contributed to strategic decision-making with upper management. Key Accomplishments• Managed the research efforts, regulation compliance, and proposal writing of 5 successfully approved wind energy project proposals for large-scale wind energy projects across Ontario• Liaised with government officials from ministries including the Ministry of Environment & Parks, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Transport Canada, the Department of National Defense, and municipal governments throughout proposal writing• Impacted favourable changes in 2 government policies; the Feed-in Tariff Program (FIT), and the Large Renewable Energy Procurement project, improving wind energy project approval process• Compiled quantitative and qualitative data to generate over 30 reports for upper management to illustrate current state of projects and highlight clear next steps toward proposal approval• Acted as subject matter expert for 4 open house consultations, attended by over 1,000 community members each to discuss impact of projects as part of regulation compliance

• Served over 80 high profile clients, collaborating with brokers and investors to support the investing operations, resolve technical issues, and ensure an optimal experience for top clients• Collaborated with multiple departments including Cyber Security and Engineering to implement improved technical solutions and web functionality based on client needs and feedback• Team received Dalbar’s top ranking for industry leading measurement of client satisfaction• Trained and mentored over 10 new staff on operational tasks and customer service excellence
