Serving as a member of the Royal Military Police, I worked in a variety of locations and roles as follows:Hohne, Germany - in the rank of Corporal, I was predominantly employed as a Military Police Officer, responsible daily for law enforcement and conflict resolution, policing the military population and working in conjunction with the German Civil Police. During this assignment, I also deployed to Iraq for seven months, providing a combination of protective security to the Officer Commanding, and conducting criminal investigations in an austere and incredibly demanding environment. Bulford, Wiltshire - in the rank of Corporal and Sergeant, roles included:- Law enforcement and conflict resolution with a Provost Company;- Data collation and management with the Out of Area Police Office:- Attachment to the Special Investigation Branch and passing of the Level 3 Investigations Course (being awarded the coveted Top Student award);- A two-year assignment to the Specialist Crime Team as a qualified military detective;- A deployment to Afghanistan, conducting criminal investigations, and coronial investigations into the deaths of Service personnel, on behalf of HM Coroner; and- Assignment to Cyprus as a Military detective, conducting serious and complex investigations into serious sexual offences, violence, complex fraud and other criminal matters.
