I am an economic and social development consultant with extensive experience in evaluation, impact assessment and research that informs policy-making. I have experience across policy areas, including business support, entrepreneurship, innovation, access to finance for small businesses, skills, and regional economic development. I undertake research and consultancy for clients such as the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, UK Research and Innovation, the British Business Bank, local authorities and development agencies, and the European Commission.I have a reputation for methodological rigour in evaluation, and have authored guidance documents, and delivered training and capability building for various organisations. Through numerous evaluation assignments, I have used a range of methodologies, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative techniques, and I draw on innovative approaches to deliver improved insights for clients. My work has inputted to policy and practice, through informing spending decisions and lessons for delivery. I have strong project direction and management skills, and have deployed these on studies of varying scopes, including complex assignments and long-term multi-year projects.
