Oversee all project activities federally funded occupational medical screening program for former Department of Energy nuclear weapons workers in thirteen states. Workers from DOE facilities may be at an increased risk of occupational illness due to exposure to ionizing radiation, beryllium, asbestos, volatile organic compounds and other toxic substances. The primary goals of the program are to detect illnesses at an early stage when medical intervention may be helpful and to determine if existing health conditions are occupational in origin. Administrative duties: Supervise program staff and monitor program activities; draft and modify program materials (contracts, budgets, grants, consumer materials, press releases), troubleshoot and solve program deficiencies. Program Outreach: Collaborate on the creation of site specific outreach plans and generate outreach materials; generate program publicity through newspapers and television in several markets throughout the country; track outreach initiatives; website and social media maintenance.Research: Work closely with Medical Director and Principal Investigator to organize, analyze, and interpret data for preparation of manuscripts for presentation at professional meetings and publication. Conduct site exposure assessments, characterizing current and historic hazards and risks at DOE sites. Communication: Serve as liaison to program clinics, laboratories, remote employees, participants, local site staff, union coordinators,  Department of Energy, the Department of Labor and regional Congressional offices. Data and Quality Assurance: Oversee data management, tracking  and monitoring program standards, reviewing regular QA reports, overseeing collection and analysis of program satisfaction survey results.Human Subjects Activities: Draft, coordinate, and track submissions to Institutional Review Boards.
