Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Standard Preventive Maintenance contract supporting Verizon & AT&T Cell Site Backup Power Systems in D/FW area. Standard site layout includes 30-60Kw generator with ATS and remote monitoring systems. I am responsible for ensuring backup systems functionality at all times and must maintain a 4hr response time for utility outages within a 200mi radius. I maintain a company vehicle, establish my own inventory, and set my own schedule for upkeep of approximately 250 sites. I report my activities to my Division manager and receive trouble calls from the company headquarters in Georgia.

FOB Power Generation Supervisor - Promoted from foremen within the first year of employment. Responsibilities: Tracking and auditing information within the power generation department. Inventory, track, procure, and ensured the proper use of departmental equipment, tools, and materials. Communicate power generation objectives, productivity, and contract compliance to management. Prepare and submitt department payroll. Review all service/work orders related to power generation, and ensure order completion. Ensure compliance with Power Generation SOP, and HAZMAT environmental control protocols. Task and supervise Power Generation Foremen. Coordinat the support of power generation to other O&M Crafts. Ensure that all permits were obtained for projects requiring installation, removal, or scheduling of power outages and lock-out/tag-out. Performed inspections and audits. Scheduled and implemented safety and job training programs for subordinates. Performed generator services and training as needed. FOB Power Generation FormanResponsibilities: Accountable for the operations and maintenance of power generators ranging from 10kW to 1.2MW with a variety of engines. Supervised and provided field-training for crews ranging from 6 to 12 generator mechanics. Coordinated the replacement, installation, and troubleshooting of all FOB generator sets. Ordered and inventoried consumables and tools. Created and implemented an automated MS Access database that tracked service and inventory data, and generated reports and service orders for the FOB maintenance program. The database extensively improved the department’s efficiency, production, and mission compliance.

FOB Power Generation Foreman Responsibilities: Ensured the correct installation, maintenance, removal, shut-down, and inventory of power generator sets and High Voltage pads ranging from 100kW to 8MW. Supervised and provided field-training for crews ranging from 5-58 generator technicians. Ordered and inventoried consumables and tools. Reviewed all service / work orders related to power generation, and ensured order completion. Ensured contract, department SOP, and HAZMAT environmental control compliance. Coordinated the support of power generation to other departments. Scheduled and implemented safety and job training programs for subordinates.

Irving Tx

Initial training in the Army included Basic Training at Ft. Benning Sand Hill followed by MOS 52D(Power Generation Technician) at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Directly afterwards; I entered mobilization for deployment to Bosnia as support for my Signal Battalion on a 9 month deployment. My primary duties while deployed were as the generator mechanic for signal operations on Camp Comanche. Upon arrival in theatre I completed coursework certifying as an EMT Basic and took on additional duties serving the dual role of convoy mechanic and combat lifesaver for all convoy support to surrounding signal hilltops. After demobilization I immediately entered a MOSQ program for 31F Node Center Operator. Upon completion of MOSQ I began to serve my unit as both the operator of tactical communications equipment and the mechanic for the tactical power generators that serviced it. This double skill set made me a primary candidate for numerous extended CONUS activations between 2001 and 2004 in which a small team upgraded and field tested all battalion signal equipment.
