I have worked in the automotive industry since 1997, first in vehicle dynamics and then in stability control systems. During this time I've specified, debugged and calibrated several generations of stability control and driveline systems, latterly on BEV and PHEV carlines. This has involved diverse skills such as 1st Tier supplier management, data analysis, system engineering and of course testing, during which my enthusiasm for sub- and post-limit driving and subjective assessment has been well-used. After a period managing a team delivering part of the JLR ADAS solution, I returned to my interest in yaw and longitudinal control systems.At AML I spent 5 years on a wide variety of DVP subjects delivering the Valkyrie test programme, mainly chassis and dynamics-based but with many sidelines in developing, validating and homologating electronic and software based features.I've now moved into an integration role in the Motion Control team at AML, neatly picking up the thread of my previous life, after the unforgettable experience of life with Valkyrie.

Valkyrie Dvp Engineer, QaoAston Martin Lagonda Ltd Sep 2018 - Jan 2024I lead DVP activities for one of seven Valkyrie hypercar prototypes, from preparation to execution of rig-based and driven testing. I have issued interface requirements, logged and diagnosed multiple CAN networks and spent an unseemly amount of time on INCA experiments. The core of my work has been around ESP and active system validation in partnership with Bosch Engineering and Red Bull.The second half of 2021 saw me delivering parts of the successful homologation of the Valkyrie project for the road, despite the significant obstacle of Covid-19. Work on Valkyrie continues in 2022 as we mature additional feature content beyond that delivered at Job#1.
