I am a Partner in the Commercial Team at Ashfords LLP, a national provider of legal and professional services. I head up the Decarbonisation & Energy Efficiency sub-sector within our Energy & Resource Management sector. I advise landowners, developers and funders, commonly advising on operation and maintenance contracts, feedstock agreements and related structural matters. Most recently this has encompassed advising owners and funders on their obligations under the various subsidy regimes (FiT, ROC and RHI) in the context of audit and requisition of information by Ofgem. I advise clients on all stages of the project cycle, helping take projects through financial close and into implementation, operation and re-financing stages. I also provide support to my colleagues in advising clients in the agriculture sector, negotiating the contracts which are required in order to implement succession planning arrangements.
