My position during my time here was as an outdoor pursuits and events manager at USA NI, my job role in the company was very diverse and I learnt a lot. I was partly responsible for the project management of a sports park in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter. As manager I was in direct control of the entire team, which has taught me valuable and efficient delegation skills. I was responsible for managing bookings and running activities such as Segway experiences, archery and paintballing to name a few on occasion for groups of over 250 people. I really feel that my time here has invaluably increased my leadership skills along with organisation and time management.

During my time working for this chandlery I became experienced in boat maintenance and repair as I was required to carry out fibreglass and gel coat repairs, varnishing, antifouling, painting, splicing, wiping and general rope work which I have since developed at UKSA during various yacht maintenance courses. My time spent working here has proved to be very useful as it has set the foundations for the skills I require whilst working on board vessels of any size, and makes me a very valuable member of the crew.
