I started my working career as an apprentice mechanic working on anything from a chain saw up to and class 1 lorry, I have worked with some of the largest truck manufacturers in the world and gained extensive knowledge in service and electrical diagnostics. I had accomplished what I could from the mechanical role and decided it was time for a change. I decided to join the gas engineering trade with the help of a family business. I have worked in a number of roles within the gas engineering sector, working on all appliances used for heating and hot water production, I have also worked in the heat treatment industry working on large gas fired/ electrical furnaces used for the carbonation of metal components. With the progression that has been made I have transitioned from a commercial gas engineer to a Service Manager work for a leading Midlands Heating Service Provider. I have recently taken a step to the side due to personal circumstances. My current role as a Service, Installation And Commissioning Engineer for Hasco Thermic Ltd consists of working on large industrial galvanizing baths heated via hi velocity gas burners operating at temperatures in excess of 450deg c.
