Mr. Davis is the principal of Jonathan D. Davis, P.C., a litigation firm he founded in 1993. The firm consists of seasoned lawyers who represent clients in the trial and appellate courts, as well as in arbitrations and mediations. The firm’s practice is focused primarily on intellectual property and entertainment-related matters involving copyright, trademark, anti-counterfeiting, right of publicity, unfair competition, and contract and employment disputes. The firm’s clients include many of the most recognized recording artists and performers in the music business as well as managers, producers, agents, the major record labels and publishers, and luxury goods companies. Mr. Davis received his B.A. in Economics from Franklin & Marshall College in 1979 and his Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law in 1982. Since 2010, he has been elected to New York Metro Super Lawyers. He is AV Peer Review rated by Martindale-Hubbell and a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America. He is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars. Mr. Davis is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third, Sixth, and Eleventh Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Davis writes and lectures on litigation issues affecting the entertainment industry.
