He will be focusing on developing and growing the audit practice, utilising his knowledge of a wide range of Corporates and International groups.Jonathan has more than 17 years’ experience within audit, specialises in leading assurance services for local and multinational companies, including PE backed businesses. He has in depth UK GAAP and IFRS knowledge and has worked with a variety of organisations including companies in the financial services, leisure, software and property sectors. In addition to his financial services and large corporate experience, Jon also has worked with middle market and entrepreneurial clients. Jon is experienced in advising clients with their acquisitions, disposals, financial restructuring and group reorganisations. He joined from KPMG in London where he was a financial services audit Director and prior to this was working in KPMG Australia where he acted for a number of listed property investment groups and mining companies. My key industry focus is with financial services, real estate investment, property and construction businesses.I act as a sounding board by understanding my client’s business and issues they face, bringing in other KPMG professionals where required. I supply clients with audit services in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and UK GAAP. I also have experienced in advising clients through listings, acquisitions, disposals, financial restructuring and group reorganisations, together with other professionals. On my secondment to KPMG Australia I was involved in a number of property and mining ASX listed entities.As an experienced auditor I have knowledge in reviewing audit files of other big four firms, including overseas countries, and is also part of KPMG internal quality review team (QPR). Whilst in Australia I worked on ASX listed clients that were subject to ASIC reviews. Therefore I have had experience of dealing with the regulator and ensuring file readiness for these external reviews and compliance with International Auditing Standards.I also have experience with working with KPMG Forensic, on an expertise witness engagements involving Big 4 and large mid size firms on the audit work performed on listed groups.
