Working at AEW, as a Technologist I focus on the delivery of commercial projects, handling predominantly McDonalds stores from the midlands to the north of Scotland from stages 4-7 (Construction to the use of the building), solving construction issues and applying building regulations/building warrants in a competitive time frame.

The majority of my work complete at Urbanedge Architecture, working in the residential sector, was producing plans, sections, elevations & construction details, through building information modelling. The residential schemes I was involved with, were 4 large scale projects, ranging from £19-46 million. These projects, labeled as “Later Living Schemes”, were aimed at creating groups of people, aimed at 65+, to support a large community. With the added benefit of Care support if requested, Inspire villages aimed to bring together people from all walk of life, supporting people in an environmentally aware building scheme, reducing Carbon emissions by up to 70%, utilising the latest technology.
