Created a Strategic Cost Management Function within Operations and delivered key objectives of creating best in class Cost Management and industry leading cost metrics and KPI’s. Responsibility for identification, delivery and tracking of initiatives for the COO including IT and Change. Validation and tracking of £15m of specific initiatives, incorporating benefits into budget and aligning capability and benefit realisation.- Ownership of multiple operations budget lines totalling c£100m. Creating plans, targets and tracking through reporting and KPI’s- Business Partnering with Executives and Directors explaining their cost bases to support delivery of cost targets and create strategic plans- Developing analytics to deliver key cost benefits as part of contract negotiations with third parties to ensure enhanced cost efficiency with scale- Re-designed and automation of reporting and processes across all functions - Launched new KPI dashboards to track performance & support Management reporting across all cost lines- Created new monthly executive cost report showing key metrics and opportunities - Designed a new set of project reports enabling spend tracking and enhanced capitalisation- Created a new cost allocation process and incorporating into monthly reporting driving greater transparency- Line management of a team of 5.Budget & Forecasting- Management of budget and forecast process, including a monthly rolling forecast process covering all cost categories and all projectsFaster Payments Programme delivered PayIt in mid 2021 and initially migrated 15% of payments saving £2m per annum. In 2022 designed and implemented a number of product enhancements which resulted in over 40% of payments being migrated. Further technologies are planned for 2024. Overall Savings will be c£25m across the 5 year plan- Project lead for new payment channel in order to reduce debit card payments and replace them with lower cost open banking channel
