I have been analysing and writing about financial markets for nearly 40 years, initially as a senior business journalist on London national newspapers, including The Times, The Economist and The Independent, latterly as an independent professional investor, author, publisher, podcaster, non-executive director and adviser. I am the Editor of the annual Investment Trusts Handbook (bought or downloaded more than 35,000 times), host a weekly investment trust podcast with Simon Elliott, head of investment trust research at Winterflood Securities and after years as a columnist for The Financial Times and Independent now edit my own specialist weekly subscription newsletter (see www.money-makers.co). I am a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, with a Level 6 qualification in Private Client Investment Management and serve as a senior adviser at Saunderson House. Author of three books on investment and co-publisher of several more.
