With over ten years of work experience in the education sector, I am passionate about teaching English and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for my students. As an English teacher and House Patron at St. Pius X College, I align my teaching and leadership practices with the school's mission of excellence, faith, and service. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have taught English to many students from different backgrounds and cultures.In my current role, I teach English to students from Year 7 to Year 12 Advanced, using a variety of methods and resources to engage and challenge them. I am always confident in my ability to spark interest in English and create a willingness to achieve within the students.As House Patron for the Treacy House, I am tasked with representing students from all year groups and working alongside the House Captain to promote healthy competition and school spirit. I also closely work alongside the Year 8 Head of Year and manage the Year 8 SRC (Student Representative Council).I use my pastoral skills to support and mentor my students, both academically and personally. I have ten years of experience in pastoral care and management of mixed gender students ranging from Year 7 to Year 11 in the U.K. school system. In the U.K., I was a Head of Year for many years and oversaw four different cohorts. I am extremely passionate about pastoral care and firmly believe that any sort of behaviour management needs to be approached with restorative justice in mind.
