Despite the job title, I'm not a software developer. I'd much rather be setting up SQL Server, or doing that release out of hours for the ERP system. I've worked with a few ERP systems in a couple of different roles, I'd like to call myself a DBA, but 'Application Specialist' is more accurate. I've even managed to run an ERP project upgrade, project management isn't for me though - but I'll get it done.I'm based in Devon but work remotely with an occasional trip to the office to socialise, or 'network'. At this point, it's probably over 10 years of experience working in Information Technology across a variety of different organisations, covering both public and private sectors. Experienced in a wide variety of systems including ERP, BACs and Direct Debit, HR and Payroll, and Sludge, to name a few. I enjoy the challenge of digging through log files and working out the root cause of an issue and putting a solution in place to provide a winning customer experience.
