FIM Capital is a leading Fund Administration and Investment Management based on the IOM. FIM has grown to $3bn of assets under management and administration. As Head of Client Accounting, I continue to service a portfolio of Fund Administration Clients. Providing finance and accounting-related services to AIM/Main listed entities and Collective Investment Schemes. Reporting directly to the CFO, I lead the client accounting function. I am responsible for: • Managing a team of up to 10 individuals. Overseeing the day-to-day operations, including task delegation and conflict resolution. • Developing the team’s recruitment strategy, identifying potential resourcing needs and pursuing the correct recruitment channels to attract the right talent.• Responsible for the performance management within the team. Conducting appraisals and fostering a positive team culture by promoting open communication and addressing challenges promptly and constructively.• Taking ownership of the accounting department's processes and controls. As a Senior Client Accountant, I provide financial management and reporting services to the Board of Directors of a portfolio of Fund Administration clients.Client Portfolio:• AIM and Main Listed entities, including a Mediterranean high-end resort developer, an infrastructure company in India, mining and exploration operations in Africa, and companies operating out of the European oil and gas sector. • Open-ended collective investment schemes, including property funds within the UK and Europe and international investment funds.• Limited Partnership (LP) Funds and Private Equity (PE) Funds based around the UK, Europe, BVI and the Cayman Islands. Key Responsibilities:• Preparation of interim and annual reporting requirements for AIM/Main listed entities in accordance with IFRS Standards.• Preparation of IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP financial statements for regulatory and private reporting purposes. • Liaise with local and international accounting teams to prepare intricate, multi-currency consolidation. • Managing the statutory audit process from start to finish. • Support the clients in their corporate actions, for example, capital raising, acquisitions and disposals. • Stakeholder management: liaising with shareholders, management (Directors and investment managers) and various professional service providers (including lawyers, valuers and tax advisors locally and internationally). • Supporting clients in the fulfilment of their financial and corporate regulatory obligations.• Financial management services to clients, including financial performance and analysis of underlying investments and projects. • Supporting treasury functions, overseeing budgeting, and forecasting cash flow to optimise financial strategies.• Calculation of NAV/Share to facilitate the pricing of open-ended investment schemes• Preparation and review of Tax and Economic Substance returns. • Preparation and review of VAT returns
