Assisted Senior Executive team with a number of special projects and short-term roles including, Leasing Manager for The Plaza, Palmerston North, Centre Manager, Lynn Mall and Sylvia Park Centre ManagerCentre Manager Sylvia Park, Kiwi Property, (Auckland) June 2006 – October 2016The role involved maximising the financial returns for the company through the efficient management of the asset. This entailed the setting of all financial budgets, controlling debts, maximising value, negotiate leases as required and managing, motivating and inspiring all centre staff.Strengths and achievements:• Instrumental in the successful delivery of New Zealand’s pre-eminent shopping centre over a 2-year initial time frame which was delivered on time, fully leased and on budget.• Maximised shareholder’s return on investment since inception and recently a key member of the team that secured and delivered the opening of H&M and Zara to a New Zealand shopping centre.• Provided leadership and vison to the centre management team of circa 20 full time direct employees and circa 100 indirect contract staff. Indirect leadership to over 1000 retail staff.• Consistently exceeded all financial targets since inception and achieved our mission of being the respected market leader amongst shopping centres in NZ, with sales in excess of $470m per annum and foot traffic in excess of 12 million customers per annum.• Set and managed NZ$12 million operating expense budget, undertook contract negotiation, capital expense analysis and maintenance fund reports.• Implemented a number of sustainability initiatives including first EV chargers in a NZ shopping centre (2014), largest solar panel array and zero waste to landfill strategy that saw an initial 40% reduction in waste and $50k in funding from Auckland Council.
